Boise State University’s Campus Operations division offers the Crucial Conversations training program, which provides its employees with the tools to manage difficult and important conversations, communicate thoughts and achieve positive results. The two-day program developed by VitalSmarts and facilitated by certified Crucial Conversations instructor Ms. Tana Monroe, Director of Department of Public Safety, will teach participants to:
- Prepare for high-impact situations with a six-minute mastery technique
- Make it safe to talk about almost anything
- Be persuasive, not abrasive
- Keep listening when others blow up or clam up
- Turn crucial conversations int
o the action and results wanted
Crucial Conversations is offered three times per year; fall semester, spring semester and summer, which is scheduled for Wed-Thurs, June 28-29, 2017 (8 a.m. – 5 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break). The cost of attendance is $250, to cover course materials.
