Exterior Sign Prototypes placed on campus
Boise State University is in the beginning stages of implementing an updated standard for exterior signs. The sign suite will consist of multiple types of signs, including building monuments, directories, wayfinding, pedestrian, bicycling and more.
To begin the process of implementation, the first two prototype signs were recently placed on campus at the Simplot/Micron Advising and Success Hub (SMASH) and at the Chaffee Hall Housing Offices.
The signs have a more modern look than the current exterior signs, while also reflecting current building finishes which have a brushed metal appearance. In addition, the signs have inset details highlighted in orange and will have the capability of being lit with LED lights.
Implementation of a full signage suite throughout campus will be done in phases over the next few years after the approval of the prototypes.
